Self-Assessment Score
When taking a development approach to leadership, I considered myself to be strong in all four categories. However, after taking the questionnaire, I realized that I needed to improve my Balanced Processing score. Using the Authentic Leadership: Self-Assessment Questionnaire located in the “Leadership: Theory and Practice | Fifth Edition,” my results are as follows:
Self-Awareness: 17 of 20 (Strong)
Internalized Moral Perspective: 17 of 20 (Strong)
Balanced Processing: 13 out of 20 (Weak)
Relational Transparency: 16 out of 20 (Strong)
Authentic Leadership: 63 out of 80 (High)
Follower Response
<Insert Student Name>, Ben & Jerry’s team leader, had the following to say regarding my results:
“As a leader, <Insert Student Name> produced quick results. However, I did not expect him to score so high on the Self-Assessment Questionnaire. In my experience with working with him, he does not know what his strengths or weaknesses are, nor do I think he accepts feedback well. I expected him to score a ten or less in this Self-Awareness portion. His relational transparency scores were also much higher than I expected. I would have scored him somewhere between seven and ten. He does only openly share his feelings nor does he let others get to really know him.” ~ <Insert Student Name> Friday,...
