A change agent is defined as an individual who has the capability of altering the capability of humans or the system of an organization so as to achieve an output which has a higher degree and self actualization. A change agent has the responsibility of coming up with a change which lasts. The activities of a change agent have an end result which has the capability of manipulating individuals into a more and even better perspective of life (Stevenson, 2008). Assuming that I have some, but not unlimited, resources and money to use as a change agent in my community, I am sure there is a lot that I can do to make it better.

There are several issues which may affect my community which may require someone to intervene. As a change agent, I would try to resolve the issue of unemployment within my community to ensure that the end result is satisfactory and better for everyone in my community. There are several characteristics that I would have to have in mind while trying to resolve such a pressing issue. A change agent should always have a vision which arises as a result of any dissatisfying situation that revolves around them and that is what I would do.

For, example in this case, I should have a vision of ensuring that the level of unemployment is reduced within my community. A change agent should also be fueled by passion and inspired by others. Without this, my plan could fail. The reason behind this is that change is considered hard to function as expected and difficulties may be experienced in building up change. I would therefore allow for other members of the community to express their opinions during my struggle towards resolving the issue of unemployment in the community where I reside.
