In the field of Human Services, there are many details that must never be overlooked, there are many variables that must not ever be ignored, and there are many expectations from stakeholders that most definitely must be entertained by all staff and participants who are involved with a program.

Stakeholders are groups or organizations that have an impact or are impacted by the existence of an agency or particular program. Stakeholders can be defined as all entities that are impacted through a business running its operations and conducting other activities related to its existence. Stakeholders are very important to the success of the human service organization and program services. The human service organization’s purpose, mission, and goals have a direct effect on the program plan. Funding institutions also have an effect on the success of a human service program, it is likely without the support of nonprofit funders, and human organizations would not be providing program services. The target population is crucial to the success of a human service program plan, because if the program plan cannot meet the needs and the problems the program will not be successful. Human services program is impacted by the administration and staff, the administration will oversee all areas of the program plan, to make sure the program plan is meeting the needs and expectations of the stakeholders. The staff will need appropriate education, skills, and certifications for their position in the organization, because the staff will have direct contact with the targeted population from the beginning to the completion of the program. Stakeholders cover a large spectrum of people such as funders, administration, staff, volunteer, community and the target population.
