Business Communication is considered as the methods, skills, and process needed to send and receive messages. Business communications is an essential part of everyday life when handling business. There are trends used when communicating and they result in different messages. Talking and listening are a part of communication.

Communications goes to internal and external audiences. The internal audience is the subordinates, superiors, and peers. External audience is the suppliers, customers, stockholders and union, mostly just the public itself (Locker & Kienzler, 2008). When you are in an organization you communicate with people from different levels of the organization every day. Some companies even have to communicate with different countries. And because of cultural change you have to know the different communication styles, which you will not make the other country, feel as if you are communicating negatively. This could cause you to lose a deal or customers, depending on what type of organization it is (2010). Companies communicate whenever they hire, fire, train, plan products and services; buy, and sell (Locker & Kienzler, 2008). The way to make more money at your job is to listen to what your boss asks you to do, follow directions and let your boss know what you have done. By doing this you will raise your wages.

A lot of employees use a schedule to go by when doing their daily activities. It helps to get everything done. Telephone calls help you manage your schedule, mostly because now you can communicate from your cellphone, so if you are out running business errands you can take care of business calls.
