My Gifts of Life

Life is a gift and it is God’s most precious gift. To fully understand life, one should fully live life. It is how we choose to live this gift that gives us full meaning and appreciation of what is truly important. My life is surrounded with gifts such as the importance of living the moment, the ability to endure and flexibility to any situation of life.

Firstly, the importance of living the moment and I know that my past has already happened and my future is not known; therefore, all I have is the present or the moment. I remember a saying which goes like “enjoy life while at its best”. Living the moment requires a continuous alertness and attention to my vicinity. In other words, it’s not that easy. Also, living the moment is something that will determine my future. For example, I’m enjoying being part of the US Army because they have shaped me to be a discipline soldier and citizen. Also, they trained me in various job skills so that once I leave the army I’m ready to take whatever job that is there for me. I cherished every moment of my life. Therefore, living the moment plays a major role in shaping your future.

Secondly, the ability to endure and that is I see things to the end. It requires determination and persistence in living my life. With that in mind, determination and persistence are totally depends on how much I want it and how much I’m willing to seek or pursue it. I have a mindset of keep going because that what makes me reach the end. Adding to that, never-say-die is always my attitude or to be tenacious in everything I do. As they always say, “there is light at the end of the tunnel”. I face challenges and it occasionally knocks me down but with my ability to endure, I keep getting up and keep moving forward.
