Respond to the following questions in 50 to 100 words each:

• What were the suggested next steps in your MyFoundationsLab® Learning Path?

The next step suggested in my MyFoundationsLab Learning Path was to study on the sentence structure, fragments and run-ons sentences. So far, I have mastered the sentence structure and the run-ons sentences. I have had a lot of trouble with the fragments part. I am doing more studying about fragments before I attempt to take the test again.

• How do the skills apply to your academic life?

In my academic life, the skills are good to master because mastering these skills will help me writing better papers for my assignments and discussion questions. I plan on doing more studying in the areas that I need to do better in.

• How do the skills apply to your professional life?

In my professional life, I see these skills to come in handy when I creating my resume and a cover sheet for it. In the future I know I would still need help in these skills but it was good to have a review of it and knowing I needed more help in certain skills.

• Were you surprised by the results? Why or why not?

I wasn’t really surprise by the results, I knew I have trouble with fragments and run-on sentences because every time I use the grammar check in word I have that pop up that I have a fragment. However, with sentence structure there were many of the terms I didn’t know what they meant, like parallel sentence. I don’t remember study that when I was in school before.
