Title: Differences of Humans Yet Equal

Philosophical Perspective:

We sometimes wonder are we really all born equal yet we see people who are better than us. Even as we go through the pages of history we see gifted minds , great artists , innovators , visionaries , leaders and so on so forth in short people who made a difference or a quantum leap that changed the world but are they really superior than the rest of us ? Thomas Jefferson once said “All men are created equal,” but he does not mean we have the same virtues or talents rather our lives were of equal values For Jefferson, all people should have the same rights and the same responsibilities as one another. To sum it up yes our virtues and talents differ from one another yet it does not make us less of a person in any way or the other. It comes down to the individual though to make a difference.

Theological Perspective:

From the Book of Genesis 1:26-27 says ““Then God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, after our likeness’…God created man in his image; in the divine image he created him; male and female he created them.” but what does it actually mean usually we think that we look like god physically in some aspect but it means a deeper meaning. Like God we are capable of rational thinking yet we abuse it and we hinder to act on it due to our free will. In a sense though all of us have different traits and talents. But what makes us truly to be in his image is our capacity of love and charity. Whether feminine or masculine, we possess the dignity of God’s image within us through Christ we become temples of the Holy Spirit and with our given talents we should use them to better serve our purpose as stewards of creation.
