When it comes to choosing what educational environment is best, there are a lot of different things to consider. There are pros and cons to both home schooling and public schooling. A parent should feel that their child’s education is of the highest priority. They should do a lot of research on how different schooling types will affect their Childs development, both socially and academically. By weighing all the pros and cons of both, before they make an informed decision. There is a much heated debate over which type of educational setting is academically appropriate for students, public school or home school.

The first thing a parent needs to do is analyze their child or children to see what their educational needs are and what would benefit those most. They need to determine whether or not they have any special needs, such as physical, emotional, intellectual, or social. The second thing they need to consider is which schooling can provide their child or children with what they needed in a learning environment to best benefit the child or children. Also another thing to consider in choosing the best educational environment for your child would be what kind of person you want them to grow up to be and what kind of environment they are in as a child can influence what kind of person they grow up to be. Amongst parents who choose a public school setting there is a high feeling that the social environment and the ability to interact with peers of their own age is largely important for growth.

The academics taught in each of these two educational settings are tremendously different in almost every aspect. Public schools have an average of 30 to 1 student- teacher ratio, which could affect a student’s ability to learn and remain focused in the classroom.
