Miami School District

The Miami school district is in need of solving a population increase within the schools. Re-zoning the boundaries to increase its abilities to level out the student to class’s ratio. The student’s parents show concerns due to the restructuring of said boundaries. The school district board must devise a plan and a negotiation strategy to voice the concerns that will be relevant to the parents. The school board, needs to negotiate a strategy that will supports the reasons for the expansion and address the concerns the stakeholders will ask

Stakeholders

To be able to answer all concerns for which the stakeholders will ask, an effective negotiation strategy must be devised. The stakeholders for this plan are created up of the students parents in the Miami school zone. The reason a negotiation strategy must be apparent is due to the many students that will have to attend the new school. Parents have concerns for the value of education changes their children will have when the changes happens. Another concern that will be apparent; is the travel time for which will increase, the property value around the school; going up or down, and the social effects.

Negotiation Strategy

The win-win strategy will be of the utmost best strategy to use by the Miami board members. This strategy will allow for the board to influence the parents that rezoning will be the best resolution for the crowding of class rooms. Bringing what will benefit to both the parents and the students equally will create the most value to the negotiation. Providing the benefits to both the students along with the school district will unsurpass any dought. Knowing the concerns the parents will have will allow for the school board to be able to answer that question without loss of words.

In the negotiation, the board must assure with confidence, that it is doing what is best for the students and the school....
