1. Identify and describe the steps of the planned change process used in the case.

- They realized that change is needed. The upper management team saw that the change is needed to be more productive in the marketplace and to stand out. The SDCRAA (also known as The San Diego County Regional Airport Authority) was created in October 2001 in the state of California.

- They developed goals to implement change. They realized that it was important to implement the change in the organization. Thella Bowens wanted the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority agency to be a standalone and knew that the only way to do that is to hire individuals to make up a transition plan and the only way to do this is to have these individuals research and discuss what best possible way for this to happen.

- They selected a person to take charge of this planned change and they chose Thella Bowens due to her experience and the fact she was the senior director for the aviation division which was in the agency of The San Diego County Regional Airport Authority. They felt she to get this handled and knew she would be the person that can help make this transition smooth. Airport Business administrator Angela Shafer (who was the director) conducted team building activities with the Metamorphs.

- Deciding the best way to start the change within the organization. When they received the feedback from the data and plan was set, it was time to make the change happen. With the help of Angela Shafer-Payne, they were able to develop new skills, implement better attitudes and behaviors, and have new resources for the change.

- Thella Bowens diagnosed the organizations operations by gathering a lot of the organization data and history so that it would help the employees get ready for the change that was about to happen.
