Learning Success Principles
The text for this course covers 12 principles paramount to learning success. Each of these principles, separated by chapters, is meant to help students, and people in general, get on the path to success. For the purpose of this essay, the four principles I have chosen to highlight as those that interest me most are prioritize, study, learn, and plan. To highlight the principles I have provided a relevant graphic, a corresponding article, and an analysis that details the self-improvement benefit and learning experience each principle provided me.
Prioritize
The learning success principle that resonated with me most is prioritize. Before tackling lesson two during the course, I thought I was very good at prioritizing. I was under that impression because I have a large amount on my plate but manage to accomplish the things I need to. This lesson taught me that is not the same as prioritizing. Although I accomplish the things I need to, it often results in stress and rearranging my schedule. Reading through the second lesson revealed the areas of opportunity and improvements I needed to make about prioritizing.
Incorporating this success principle into my lifestyle has already resulted in several self-improvement benefits. I have started saying no, which had been difficult always. This has already prevented my days from becoming too overloaded with tasks. Additionally, I have started using priority management tools.
