Best Game Productions is a large video game company having troubles with a soon to release sequel of previous video games. The Best Game Productions’ scenario is unique and needs to be analyzed thoroughly. The organization has several internal; game developers, quality control, advertising, public relations, finance, and external stakeholders; consumers, suppliers, shipping companies that will be affected with any decision made for the video game release. The stakeholder’s needs, motivations, and perceptions need to be considered when determining the resolution of the problem.

Best Game Productions has been creating a highly anticipated video game for two years, and the release of the game is in one month. After allowing reviewers to play and test the game prior to the release, they have discovered a bug. Discovering the bug before the release it excellent, but they do not have the time to correct the problem before the anticipated holiday release date. If the game does not release on the advertised date, consumers may become disappointed and buy a competitors video game instead for themselves or as gifts. If the game does get released on the advertised date, the game will not have the bug fixed, and there will be noticeable decreases in game play. The CEO strives to make as much money as possible for the company so that he can retain employees and please the stockholders. He also works hard to uphold an ethical code and principles for Best Game Productions. No matter what decision Best Game Productions makes, there will be problems with other departments of the business and consumers. Keeping the consumers interested and loyal is a necessity and will be difficult for the company.
