Training Plan

Hello Traci,

Training plans are an essential piece in the success in any business. Having a training plan is allows a business to introduce new concepts, motivate staff, establish expectation along with many other essential functions. This training plan was put together for Mr. Bradley Stonefield, owner of Landslide Limousine Services. Per you email, we were took into consideration needs assessment; which includes environmental analysis, organizational analysis, demographic analysis, operational analysis and individual analysis, training methods; which includes types of media, learning principles, training for learning skills or facts and effectiveness methods as well as training evaluation strategies; which include criteria, pretests, monitoring and observing training, collecting feedback and implementing feedback.

Needs Assessment

In establishing a training plan our team first considered a needs assessment. In an environmental analysis, Mr. Stonefield should take into consideration other limousine businesses in the area. This should be considered because when there is another business that provides similar services, you have to be concerned customers favoring another product over yours. Another reason why other businesses in the area should be considered is because it is always good to know who your competition is. By knowing your competition you will be able to know what products, services, promotions, etc are being offered. Once Mr. Stonefield has this information, he should be able to stay competitive by offering similar or better deals.

Next, an organizational analysis must be considered. According to Cascio, (2013), the purpose of an organizational analysis focuses identifying whether training supports the company’s strategic direction.
