Giving money to the poor

I always feel bad whenever I see boys in my age, begging for money, or washing cars , selling fruits in the afternoon instead of being at home doing his homework or playing. I felt bad whenever I saw a mother with children walking in the streets going from place to place in the hot weather because they can’t afford a car.

I have everything I need and more without realizing the fact that I am one of those who are blessed in this world. I always wanted to help; I always wanted to talk about it, express and give my point of view on this issue. That’s the reason behind my enthusiasm behind choosing this topic.

Poverty is the lack of basic human needs, such as clean and fresh water, nutrition, health care, education, clothing and shelter, because of the inability to afford them. This is also referred to as absolute poverty or destitution. Relative poverty is the condition of having fewer resources or less income than others within a society or country, or compared to worldwide averages. About 1.7 billion people live in absolute poverty. Poverty is also often divided into relative poverty and absolute poverty. Poverty can also be defined as a condition wherein a person cannot satisfy his or her basic needs.

The poor, particularly widows and orphans, and the sick and disabled, are generally regarded as the proper objects of charity. Some groups regard charity as being properly directed toward other members of their group. Although giving to those nearly connected to oneself is sometimes called charity. The practice of charity means the giving of help to those in need who are not related to the giver.

How to Give money to the poor? .Is there any advantage or disadvantage for giving money to the poor.
