Cosmic Creation Myths Across Cultures Paper
Introduction
There are many cosmic myths creation in the world. Different cultures beliefs in different myths. The two myths creations profound are the Zulu and Inca. Both creations are from two different places. Zulu creation is from South Africa and Inca located in South America.
Cosmic Creation Myth
Many people have different beliefs how the world was created. There are different ways it happened. The world of Inca, Pachacamac was the sun rose slowly from Lake Titicaca. He was very bright in the sky by himself he made the stars, the planet and the moon. The moon was so beautiful he made her is wife and they ruled the heaven and earth. Pachacamac made the first human out of enormous mountain of rock. The first humans were pitiful creatures they did know how to survive or make food. So the sun and the moon bore a son and a daughter. They both sent their son and daughter to earth to teach the human how to survive on the planet (Big Myth, 2011).
The world of Zulu was darkness and just one very large seed. It came to earth and began to grow. The seed was called Uthlanga it means the source of all things. The seed start to grow slowly it grew into a man. He grew so large and heavier that the plant couldn’t hold the man. So he fell on earth and he started to walk up and down on earth. He saw other seeds forming into men and women. Unkulunkulu was the first to break off men and women. He created the streams, mountains, lakes, valleys, wind, rain and the sun, moon. He pretty much created everything around we see around us today. Unkulunkulu taught men and women how to hunt, make fire and clothes. He gave the animal it names (Big Myth, 2011).
