Organizational psychology contributes to enhancing the performance in the workplace, establishing contentment, and developing the well-being of the individual, leading to the success of the organization. It helps makes organizations more successful, productive, and effective. Organizations that use organizational psychology can offer higher quality services and gain higher financially success by focusing on the bottom line resolving issue that could hinder productivity, growth, problem-solving abilities, and employee morale. Organizations can benefit in many ways from using organizational psychology, study behavior in business finding solutions to problem and discover important information about an organization. Psychologist can help to improve the performance and well-being of the people working in an organization by researching and identifying how behaviors and attitudes can be improved. This can contribute to the success of an organization.

“Organizational psychology is the scientific study of individual and group behavior in formal organizational setting” (Jex & Britt, 2008, p. 2). It is the study of an organization and of the ways in which the people in it interact, carry out to improve the organization. It is used in organizations so that they can benefit their business in several ways. Organizations psychology deals with formal organizations. It uses scientific methods to study the behavior of employees in the business setting. The conduct and behavior of the employee is studied, if there is need for improvement or intervention, and a plan of action is put in place. It encourages the workplace morale. Workplace conditions are improved by organizational psychology because it focuses on the human portion of the working environment.
