Career planning

Is a process of choosing an occupation, getting a job, growing in our job, possibly changing careers, and eventually retiring (schreuder & Theron, 2001: 21).

Career management

Is an on going process in which an individual gathers relevant information about himself/her and the world of work.

Self-Knowledge

refers to knowledge of one's particular mental states, including one's beliefs, desires, and sensations. It is also sometimes used to refer to knowledge about a persisting self—it’s on to logical nature, identity conditions (Wendy P, McMahon M)

Career development

Learning new skills, and making improvements to help you in your career. Career development is an ongoing, lifelong process to help you learn and achieve more in your career

• Organistional

Process that is undertook by the H.R department to enhance the skills of their employees in order for them to take new tasks.

Career self-management

Career self-management is accepting responsibility for the strategic and proactive management of one's own career.

Career path

A planned, logical progression of jobs within one or more professions throughout working life. A career path can be planned with greater assurance in market conditions of stability and little change (schreuder & Theron, 2001: 21).
