Antonio’s Ethical Dilemma

It had alleged that Empress Luxury lines successfully defrauded insurance companies prior to his arrival at the company, a rumor which he has always dismissed but is now beginning to think twice due to the unfolding situation. Antonio Melendez had been requesting an upgrade of the computer system at the company since his employment with the company for about two years but was not given serious attention probably due to the seriously sagging earnings the company was face with.

Finally it appears that Antonio’s request for the computer system upgrade is about to be executed but via fraudulent means by escalating the already damage computer system that was initially cause by the fierce thunderstorms. Antonio is faced with a very serious ethical dilemma. He feels morally driven to call attention to this plot but is caught between conflicting of loyalties-to his employer and to his own conscience. He must decide wheatear to become a whistleblower in this situation since there’s no confidential mechanism putting into place to report wrong doing internally or to remain mute and allowed this plot to be executed. He is also aware of the damaging repercussion of being a whistle-blower.

Strategies for Addressing this Situation

The Individualism Approach-act in a manner that is morally accepted is fostering his individual’s long best interests. For the fact that Antonio was able to advocate for an upgrade in the computer system for two years prove to me that he has a personal long term best interest in Empress.
