Goal
As a trainer for a fast food establishment I want to have more confidence and the ability to speak in
front of an audience or with someone I don’t know during off sight meetings without the fear of saying
the wrong thing or being anxious.
Patterns of behavior
Most effective communication skill
I have assessed my most effective communication skill thru my channel options with my
peers either face to face, text messaging, email or by third parties. I have been highly
recommended as the liaison for people problem solving and system awareness
because of my open door policy and experience in operations. My motto is anytime, anywhere
and any situation I’m available. Be it with another place of employment issues or someone
in another department, it has been my role to be able to reach out and communicate well with
other people verbally and non-verbally to get work done. This helps attain desirable store goals.
I have been able to help conflicts and problem solving not only for employees but for the
organization.. This skill has allowed me to incorporate a healthy work culture and increase
profits.
Ex. Our organization has a store just off the interstate that is undergoing construction and new
input of other competitors in the area. Moving since February we knew the store would be hit
with roughly 8-10% decrease in sales but unfortunately we never imagined it would hit 20%.
From past experience of running that location I knew it was more to the issue of the additional
10% but the new supervisor would not come to me for guidance. The store continues to decline
and now it’s on the General Manager to find a solution, however she has a new Supervisor who
won’t ask for help and doesn’t know how to go about where to start. In the meantime there is...
