As a soldier in the United States Army arriving at work on time is of paramount importance. As an alternative to a military regulated and sanctified counseling, my first line supervisor Sergeant has administered a 600 word essay on the above entitled topic.

To fully understand this topic, the importance of arriving at work on time, an individual must break down the above thesis and define it the meaning of its major components. Firstly, Importance.

How does a person define importance? Importance can be defined as the necessity of any person, place, thing, or action in reference to an individual’s or situations need or desire. This is means to say that, in example, soldiers need water to stay hydrated and function in the desert, therefore Water is important to Soldiers in the desert. How can an individual measure importance? The actual measure of importance will vary from individual to individual depending on personality, background, and goals. Some people put little value in the things around them or the meanings of things, this in turn discredits those things importance. For instance, I personally value my military carrier above most things in my life, other people how ever may be found saying “Once my eight years are over I’m out.” These people don’t value there carrier quite the same way as myself. Therefore the military is of less importance to them than to myself.

To continue my definition for my thesis on, the importance of arriving at work on time, I will define and describe what constitutes arrival to the duty station. Arrival to the duty station is being personally at the location specified, with all sensitive materials, in the proper uniform, and being accounted for by either report to a Non Commissioned Officer or being present in an account ability formation. This is to mean that an individual is within the bounds of the motor pool or standing in their designated location in the formation at a time...
