Introduction

When I sit back and thank about the positions I have held within my career, I come to realize that it has been a variety of positions that have helped in refining my skills while also providing important experiences I would take with me as I move up. By experiencing a wide range of different objectives that would include mental health and substance abuse awareness. In having my current opportunity as a manager within a busy mental health and substance abuse clinic, I have been provided many opportunities to develop and refine my managerial skills as well as my policy and procedure development. While working at Central Nassau Guidance, my position has afforded me to become a more experienced manager who is not scared of failure or success. I have overcome the drastic hurt that comes with procedures not working to being able to see a policy and procedure prosper business. I quickly learned the proper methods in procedure implementation. This position has also help me gain a deeper insight of how the behavioral health industry works from both governmental and state regulatory.

The SWOT analysis is a method that includes a careful assessment of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats that affect an organizational performance (Draft, 2014 p. 246). The data for these assessments can be obtained from many sources by management within the organization. In applying a SWOT, a company is trying to support how they will achieve the goals that have been set for the organization. The SWOT can outline the strengths that will aid in the goals being successful as well as the weaknesses that may come with the goas being unsuccessful. I would be learn how to determine what strategies would work to improve the organization or which strategies would not work to improve the organization from using this method of analysis....
