Description of the establishment

History

The hotel chain AUSTRIA HOTELS INTERNATIONAL was founded in 1970 under the direction of “Austria Hotels”. In that time the company consistence was Hotel Kummer, Parkhotel Schonbrunn and Hotel Prinz Eugen in Vienna and Hotel Daniel in Graz.

At the beginning of April 1972 the company extended, the Hotel De France became a member, and this hotel is still ***** star flagship property in center of Vienna. In 1992 the Hotel Schloss Weikersdorf in Baden, Hotel Bellevue and restaurant Passauerhof in Vienna have also became a part of the growing company chain. In 1993 after reconstruction the Grand Hotel Bohemia was opened in Prague, which was the first foreign hotel. In the following years the company aim was to maintain traditions and quality in all member hotels, which came up to be an accurate direction of development.

In 1997 the Hotel Burgenland in Eisenstadt and Grandhotel Brno merged the company. In 1998 follows Hotel President inVienna and in year 1999 Holiday Inn in Prague, that was re-named to Hotel Crowne Plaza Prague.

In September 2000 the company picked up Hotel Caruso in Baden and few months later, at the beginning of 2001, Hotel Kavalier, Hotel Alpha and Hotel am Augarten in Vienna. In all of these hotels the extensive renovations have been performed that lead along to the standards of the chain, which name is assurance of quality in Austria and abroad.

In the present time hotel chain “AUSTRIA HOTELS INTERNATIONAL” runs 15 objects in Vienna, Baden, Eisenstadt, Prague and Brno with 1650 rooms, 3100 beds and approximately 700 employess.

Crowne Plaza Hotel

Hotel Crowne Plaza Prague was built in years 1952-1954, arisen from original combination architecture of socialist realism, so called solera and American style art deco. Hotel was designed on the principle of suburban studies as dominant type of Moscow University of Lomonosov.
