Organizations are always battling to survive and maintain their competitive advantage with competitors. This constant battling will help organizations with profitability and help with attaining long-term success. This paper will discuss Innovation, creativity, and design and the importance of these three key factors that help organizations meet and achieve objectives. Innovation
Innovation can take any organization to the next level. According to Meriam-Webster innovation is defined as a new idea, device, or method: the act of introducing new ideas, devices, or methods (merriam-webster, 2013). Innovation and creativity go hand in hand and it consists of both creativity and implementation. The innovator takes a creative idea and thus the process to design and construct begins. After the creative idea and the design are born the implementation process is used to bring this idea to life. Innovation in the business world can be driven by competitors. The thought of being the first business to the market with a new product can provide a substantial advantage. Innovation sets each business idea a part from the next.
Design
According to Meriam-Webster design is defined to create the plans, drawings, etc. that show how something will be made (Meriam-Webster, 2013). Design challenges existing products allows a business to look at everyday things with a new set of eyes and a creative imagination to make these products better.
