Club IT, Part 2

In so far Club IT has managed to be a success and in doing so their reputation is good in the community they serve. Although Club It has managed to accomplish success with their current operating system in order to grow and expand to the next level it is necessary to improve business operations in Club IT. In noticing what areas that can be improved on and developing a plan of action for those improvements Club IT will be more efficient in serving its customers and attracting new customers. Some of the things I have noticed are Club IT customers are mostly of the Net Generation meaning they regularly use mobile technologies. In addition I noticed that Club IT has yet to take advantage of the many e-commerce activities available in dealing with suppliers and guest. Finally Club IT sells advance tickets for special Friday and Saturday night concerts by phone on in person. Club IT can improve all these aspects of their business with and upgrade in their information technology (IT) system. As I see it Club IT can specifically use an upgrade in the Supply chain and Customer relationship management systems. These two IT systems can then be made more efficient by using an enterprise resource planning (ERP) software that fully integrates the system.

By implementing and Supply chain management (SCM) system Club IT will have more control over inventory. As of now Reuben and Lisa reordered supplies when they saw they were low and sometimes they order too much and sometimes they didn’t order enough. This way of doing things was very inefficient. By forming new business-to-business relationships with companies like Sysco who can supply food, beverage and other restaurants items Club IT will be taking the guess work out of ordering supplies.
