This paper will discuss the challenges of planning a strategy for the Club IT Business. The information in
this paper will address the mission, clientele, and information technology and the needs of the club. The
club was recently opened by Ruben Key and Lisa Tejada (bcs.wiley.com). The both of the two
businesses owners graduated with degrees in Business Administration in 2000 (bcs.wiley.com).
They both supported themselves by working as musicians during college, by working as musicians,
which helped them learn a little about the nightclub operations from working and they also used the
business principles with their studies to help them. The two business partners wanted to use an IT
type of business strategy for their nightclub.
Club IT Layout
Lisa and Ruben completed the remodeling of the interior for the club, the club had tall ceilings and high-
energy lights(Axia material,App C). The club is about 6,000 square feet, with 600 square foot dance
floor. The club seats 220 people, and has a kitchen for appetizers and short orders, and it has a bar
with four pour stations (bcs.wiley.com). They focus the remodeling so they can draw more upbeat
crowds.
Mission
The clientele is mainly focused a younger crowd, and that is why it provides a variety of music with
a live DJ. The music includes, Hip-Hop Techno and Electronica, the owners has a calendar that shows
which type of music is playing that month. The live bands are on Friday and Saturday, DJ are playing on
Tuesday and Thursday, and closed on Sunday. Having the different types...
