1. Employees will receive absolutely no raises, and performance management is eliminated throughout the economic crises. Therefore employee wages will remain the same, regardless of position held; no performance reviews are given; and there will be no adjustments of missions, goals, and duties during this period.

Based on the appraisal of the corporation, the temporary change will be to modify the performance management system at JVA Corp. allowing them to install a permanent change, reducing expenses from 8% to 5% by making some rearrangements in the compensation and the Benefit Package. The appraisal process at JVA Corp. was accomplished using the six-step process. Initially, the workers were made aware of the intent to cut expenses for additional bonus offered at JVA Corp. The reasoning was result of a net loss of 17% for the fiscal year. Employees were informed of no salary increases in the next review process. However, the organization promised workers that although salaries were to remain frozen for the year, no one would be laid off. In addition, the company would also reorganize the compensation and bonus system offered at JVA Corp. One change would be to remove home and auto insurance for the year, therefor cutting down 8% incentive expense to 5%. Then employees will be allowed to keep the other incentives items such as various discount tickets, discount on cell phone, gym membership and company Credit cards. Next, performance standard was established with the employees where realistic goals were implemented. The actual performance of the employee and manager were then compared to the standard goals and making corrections as needed. The Performance Management System was introduced to serve three purposes defining acceptable employee performance; facilitating employee performance; and encouraging employee performance.
